Welcome back to this-here site, my lovely RPers. I started this thing almost three years ago, and it seems to have been waiting for this moment for at least that long. What is the importance of this moment, you may ask? Well, I don't know, but TSL is open again, so that's probably up there with that Gulf of Mexico oil spill on the scale of importance.
Updates, updates. Well, I'm fixing typos in the Important Information board, so if you notice any of them, go ahead and tell me here so my OCD self and I can make the posts look like they're not three years old.
The actual updates may affect some of your old characters and plots. The Planes and Aiergans section got a few additions, which I will copy here for your convenience.
On Aiergans and aging:
On Ælrans:
On etstanite:
The last one especially was something I felt was necessary to even out the playing field, so to speak, and make the Aiergans less of an unstoppable superforce. You guys are creative, so I'm sure you'll think of other interesting uses for the stone as well.
If you have any suggestions or comments about anything to do with the site, now is the time to make yourself heard. If you think something is unspeakably stupid, please tell me and I will try to make it less-so. I may end up changing the character template a bit too, depending on if anyone objects to getting rid of the paragraph system for a few of the criteria.
On new management:
I figured this was good to mention, at the very end no less. I am not Chibi. I was the one who started the site, but I don't think any of you were here in its life before she took over. She'll probably be joining again, but there's no telling when. Also, we have an awesome new coder, Shadow, who's responsible for doing cool things to the site when I tell him to. I'm pretty horrible at thinking of things we need though, so that's another thing you could ask for in this little thread here.
In conclusion, it's good to have this place up again. Give yourselves a pat on the back, because without you this place would have just been sitting here until the internet devoured itself like the cat-shaped ouroboros it is.

They also age differently than humans, only feeling the affects of time when not in the Upper Plane. Meaning, if an Aiergan were to spend most of his in the Upper Plane, he would appear younger than one who spends equal time in the Upper and Lower Planes.
On Ælrans:
Ælrans are Aiergans and Oblivains who have not died yet. Their abilities are the same as Aiergans but weaker. They do not, however, develop these powers until around the ages of 16 to 19. So unless they were able to escape from the camps, they would most likely never be able to use this power. Most Ælrans who do not develop their abilities before dying do not become Aiergans and die like normal humans.
On etstanite:
Some structures in Carr are built of a certain stone called etstanite which makes it impossible for beings in the Upper Plane to get close to it. The stone is most commonly found in castles and palaces which house lords and other important figures in order to prevent assassination by unhappy Aiergans. There are, however, monuments and other structures whose use has been lost to time.
