Name: Vergessen Kreuz
Age: appears to be 25, probably closer to 100. He started slowing early.
Gender: Male
Race: Oblivain
Appearance: Kreuz stands at 6'2" tall with broad shoulders. His hair is dark gray, slightly shaggy and hangs down to just above his shoulders. His eyes are twin pools of obsidian, that, when he feels a strong negative emotion, seem to catch the light and absorb it, making them pools of darkness. His skin is naturally tan, and, were he to go without a shirt, you would see a large cross tattooed on his back.

For clothes, he wears a white long sleeve dress shirt unbuttoned at the top to show off a cross medallion. His pants are black, held up by a black belt with silver buckle, and tuck into the top of dark brown boots. Over all of this he has a long grey coat with a hood that goes down to his knees. He also has a belt with two daggers hanging from the back of it at his waist over the coat, keeping it from blowing around too much. The hood, when up, leaves only the lower part of his face visible.
And just for reference: the daggers are completely normal. His unique weapon is a spear - a japanese yari to be exact. www.netlinkenterprises.com/prodimages/SH2152.jpg
Personality: Around people he isn't familiar with, Kreuz comes off as distant and somewhat cold, the typical loner "I'm-better-than-you" mentality. This is also his "professional" personality that he uses when working.
Around friends or people he has accepted, he is warm and friendly, if a little stiff. And although he doesn't seem like it, he is really good with children.
History: Kreuz is an Oblivain. As such, he has no memory of his life before that. When he first could start remembering and making new memories, he didn't know what was going on. No one could see him, and he couldn't interact with anyone. Not knowing anything, the young man became depressed. He wandered from town to town, city to city, country to country for nigh on 90 years in daze. In each place, it was the same. Was he some kind ghost? Unknown to him was that there were others like him. Somehow he managed to avoid everyone who could have seen and helped him.
Roughly ten years ago or so, everything changed. He had entered a town in western Llyr and was wondering around aimlessly, when he heard, "Excuse me, are you alright?" Now, traveling in a daze does not leave one in the best of conditions, especially when one does so with no regards for themselves for 90 years. He first ignored the question, but when it was asked again, he turned around. Kreuz saw a smiling old man that stooped a little, looking right at him!
"Y-you can see me?" And that was the start of his education. The kindly old man turned out to be a seer, and a priest at a local church. He took Kreuz in, and answered all of Kreuz's questions that he could. He taught Kreuz much about the world, and about himself.
Kreuz was happy. While with the father, he was given a place to stay and work to do. One year after Kreuz had been there, the father had opened up an orphanage attached to the church. Seeing as how the father had taught him that he was a type of Aiergan, an Oblivain, and not always in the same plane of existence, he would enter the Lower plane in order to help out. Since the father was old, and needed to provide for the orphans, Kreuz would enter the surrounding forests and hunt.
Life continued, and was good for almost ten years. Other clergymen had been inducted and were at the church to help out. Kreuz stayed in the Lower plane all the time now, so as not to draw suspicion to himself. Because of this, when he went hunting he would sometimes be gone for a day or two. Coming home from his most recent hunting trip, Kreuz found that his world had been turned upside down. The father, bless his soul, had died during the night from old age. Standing in the father's room, Kreuz grieved. When he went to leave, he noticed a loose floorboard. Prying it up, he saw a letter and package addressed to him.
Kreuz,
My boy, I'm sorry to leave you, but my time has come. I know you are a strong lad, and will be able to live a good life without this old man looking over your shoulder all the time. Inside the package is my last gift to you.
Take it and go. You know you can't stay at the church forever. Some will begin to question why you don't seem to age, and if they find out what you are...well, not all people are like us, eh? You have a good heart, keep it that way. I will always be watching over you.
With tears in his eyes, Kreuz opened the package to find a cross medallion on a leather cord. He put it on, and, for the first time in years, left the Lower plane. He ran without looking back, ran as fast as he could, shadow walking when possible. That night, he collapsed on the ground, staring at the sky. As his tears slid down his face, he saw one star seem to twinkle and he imagined it was the father, looking down at him. Then, he slept.

Kessel yawned as he lounged in his chair in the barracks common room. He glanced at his opponent briefly, considering whether or not he had a chance at winning, then promptly decided he didn't care that much. He reached out towards his opponent and-
"Kessel! Get the hell in here!"
Hearing the recruitment officers yell, Kessel briefly glanced at the door leading out of the common room. By the time he looked back, his opponent had a smug look on his face. Kessel, whose arm was frozen outstretched, resumed his movement, and lazily plucked the third card from the left from his opponent's hand. As he did, his opponent grinned, saying "Heh, you lose this time Kessel. Now pay up."
"Tch, whatever, this makes what, your fourth win? Out of 20 hands?" Kessel smirked. "Don't be so cocky." He placed his cards on the table and tossed the small clinking sack of silver to the other man as he stood. As he walked out of the room, he said, "Don't spend it all in one place now."
